1. NO – Giants LB Chase Blackburn said, “Then the fact they exploited every mistake we made. Drew Brees saw everything we did. Every time our coverage rotated the wrong way or the pass rush was off, he (took advantage).” – That’s good enough for me, even though I smell upset this week.
2. DEN – They continue to find ways to win, using every facet of their team. You have to love what McDaniels has been able to do there.
3. IND – As long as Manning plays the way he is playing, how can you expect them to lose?
4. MIN – They keep finding way to win too, but for some reason I am less impressed by the way they are doing it than Denver.
5. NE – it is only one game and it was against the lowly Titans, but the Pats could be back
6. NYG – They hit a huge bump in the road, but it should be just that: a bump in the road. I expect them to bounce back.
7. ATL – A very good, solid football team that is still growing as a unit. They should continue to progress throughout the season, that’s the scary part.
8. CIN – I am still a believer in Cincy, but they are going to have to step it up a notch.
9. BALT – They are better than their record indicates, but they better start showing it SOON!
10. ARZ – looking good as of late, but having to play an angry Giants team can change that
11. PHI – I am at a loss for words; really, really… Oakland
12. SF – Having Gore Back should be just what the doctor ordered for that offense.
13. PIT – They haven’t looked much like the Super Bowl team of last year, but they still sit at 4-2
14. MIA – I think they are getting this thing turned around, and like I said up top; I smell upset
15. DAL – I thought about omitting 15 through 22 because honestly who cares about this level of mediocrity. At least at the bottom you have some room to move up, or have the piece of mind that it’s over like in the situation of the Ram’s fan.
16. GB – if one of these 8 teams caught the swine flu would anyone even notice
17. CHI – at 8-8 everyone losses
18. HOU – will they ever have a winning season
19. SD – all that talent, what a joke
20. JAC – this is a tough one , do you blow it up and start fresh or try and build it up
21. NYJ – I knew they weren’t for real
22. CAR – they should tease their fans from time to time, but in the end it will be just a disappointment; never had back-to-back winning season and it looks like that won’t change this season
23. OAK – After beating Philly, there has to be optimism out there. They have been close quite a few times. I think they should make it interesting plenty of games this season.
24. SEA – They just can’t find it, but then again they probably just don’t have it.
25. BUF – WOW they have found a way to win 2 already, in the weirdest ways at that.
26. KC – been so close so many times, now they finally got one; playing Washington can do that for a team
27. WASH – how can they continuously have so much talent and yet find a way to screw things up
28. DET – better than the rest, I guess
29. CLE – should have done some more trading away before the deadline, because what they have isn’t going to work… ever
30. TEN – they really are just that bad, absolutely unbelievable – that’s the NFL
31. TB – fairly pathetic but still better than St. Louis
32. STL – On Sunday gymnastics are on NBC… enjoy.
