NFL Daily – AFC South – Houston Texans

With the good news come the bad. Matt Schaub was 25-of-34 passes for 268 yards and two picks in the Texans’ 31-10 win at Buffalo. The Texans ground game was the dominant force as Week 9 as Ryan Moats rushed for 126 yards and three touchdowns on 23 carries. Moats took over for Steve Slaton after Slaton lost a first-quarter fumble. It’s a bit of stretch to say that Slaton has lost his job, but to say he has competition is an understatement.
And now the bad. Stud tight end Owen Daniels tore his ACL in the victory. Daniels has had a torn ACL twice in his career. Never a good sign for someone having an unbelievable contract year, as Daniels heads to free agency trying to prove his knees can handle another year.
