Phillip Rivers completed 16-of-25 passes for 249 yards with a TD and a pick in Sunday’s 24-16 beating of Oakland. Rivers hooked up with Malcolm Flody 53-yarder to start the game, thus paving the way for the run game the rest of the way. Vincent Jackson caught eight for 103 yards and a TD. Shawne Merriman also registered recorded his first two sacks of the season in the win.
