It was a Monday night thriller in the Bayou. The Saints eked out a 35-27 victory over NFC South division rival Atlanta. Drew Brees was a stellar 25-of-33 for 308 yards, two TDs and a pick. This is what we’re getting used to with Brees, throwing almost perfect throughout the entire night night. He completed 15-of-17 passes in the first half when it appeared Atlanta could do nothing against the Saints’ offense couldn’t be stopped. The Saints face Carolina’s #1 pass defense on Sunday, but then go to St. Louis in Week 10, where Brees will throw for 700 yards and a dozen TDs.
