NFL Daily – NFC South – Carolina Panthers

Jake Delhomme completed 15-of-24 passes for 195 yards and two touchdowns in a shocking 28-19 win over the Atlanta Falcons. Operating primarily out of a no huddle, Delhomme took care of the ball, managed the game, and even showed nimble feet when necessary. Even more surprising than a win, Delhomme has two consecutive games without an interception. Unfortunately, left tackle Jordan Gross broke his ankle and is out for the year.
The Carolina ground attack continued to roll like a freight train. Jonathan Stewart rushed 11 times for 82 yards and two TDs. Stewart ran past the confused Falcons D on a 45 yard run to bury Atlanta late in the fourth quarter. DeAngelo Williams rushed 19 times for 92 yards. Williams didn’t show signs of a lingering knee injury that listed him as questionable heading into the game. Williams has attained over 100 combined yards in five consecutive games.
